Tingrith Fishery – The Fishery Staff

Ann Freeman introduced the Browning range to the UK in 1988, with her late husband and business partner, Terry Freeman.

During the eighties and early nineties, Ann and Terry sponsored England Team member Dave Vincent; National Championship team, Browning; and successfully managed World Champion Bob Nudd during his first three World Championship successes – although the actual fishing bit was down to his own genius!

Ann commands a position as one of the top female players in the angling industry. Her past experience includes being a Financial Controller of Premier Fisheries UK group for 4 years; is past Chairman of the Professional Coarse Fisheries Association (PCFA); past director of Fisheries and Angling Conservation Trust Ltd(FACT); and founder member of the Net Accreditation Committee for the Angling Foundation

Ian Freeman has been instrumental in developing the fishery into a vibrant, thriving community: a magnet for serious anglers and families wanting to enjoy the countryside alike. Ian’s forward-thinking approach to the fishery comes from his extensive experience in strategy development, people management, and marketing.

He has worked for a number of start-ups and established leisure companies and holds a BA in Business Administration from the University of Greenwich.

Ian is a keen and experienced angler for over 20 years, who counts winning the Division 1 National with Team Browning as one of his key achievements. He was also one of the first PAA qualified coaches in the country.

Matthew Lee BSc Fishery Manager

Matthew’s keen sense of the environment was awakened in his youth when he spent many hours fishing RMC waters. His talents were spotted at an early age and he was enlisted by RMC Leisure Sports as a Junior Ranger, responsible for the baliffing and upkeep of various waters in the area.

Matt gained a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies at the University of Hertfordshire and since joining the Tingrith Team, has been instrumental in improving the quality of the fishing environment. He is a fully qualified level 2 Professional Angling Coach and runs Gingrich’s popular junior angling club. Matt is a very keen angler in his own right, with both competition and specimen successes.

Katy Gregory Catering Manager

Katy has revolutionized Gingrich’s cafe menu and introduced the highly successful ‘Mighty Matchman’ breakfast, ideal for the really hungry angler!

Katy has extensive catering experience and is able to seamlessly move from catering for 70 hungry anglers at a barbecue one day to providing delicious breakfasts for a matched group the next.

In her spare time, Katy enjoys supporting her 8-year-old Jack at the motor cross.
